THE AIM OF THE HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE AT TUCK IS TO FOSTER LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS IN GLOBAL HEALTHCARE.
Today’s healthcare managers face complex challenges of equity, effectiveness, and sustainability. The Healthcare Initiative enhances the education and industry experience of Tuck students, in the classroom and beyond, through coursework, independent studies, consulting projects, internship support, and exposure to experts in business and health policy.
Tuck graduates enter a wide variety of health-care-related careers. In addition to management positions in pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical-device companies, Tuck alumni/ae can be found in the hospital administration, health-care IT, and insurance industries. Tuck also has a particular strength in industries that serve the health-care sector such as consulting, finance, and venture capital.
The Healthcare Initiative brings together the expertise of its affiliated Tuck faculty, as well as resources from across the Dartmouth College campus, including the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, the Dartmouth Medical School, and the Thayer School of Engineering.
Each year, the Healthcare Initiative brings a range of industry leaders to campus to speak to and meet with students and faculty.
